Thunder has it right…… The cable should be 1/2” like the one shown on picture……But if that doesn’t work, the clog is in the pipe then you will have to go through the clean out with a electric snake with a 1/2” cable that you can rent at any equipment rental, don’t forget the different heads for the snake…..

you could try the Mr Pro cobra snake. or the southwest rattler, or there is the old faithful cottonmouth. check your local hardware store and ask for these by name.

Be very careful and use leather gloves to guide thick wire down to drain. If you are using and electric snake be very careful to go at a moderate speed if you go to fast the wire will kink up and possibly get your hand.
I think you need some strength to handle wire, but nothing a woman can’t handle.

Replacing a toilet is pretty simple. The worst that can happen is a water leak. The methane gas in a residential sewer system won’t hurt anyone unless they stick their face in the pipe and inhale deeply for a prolonged period of time. That’s really not likely to happen. If it does, I would file for divorce and seek counseling.

when u removed the toilet ,put a piece of toilet paper in the hole ,so the gases don’t get out ,some people can get dizzy if they are working strait into the hole but is nothing else ,don’t worried ,and the toilet installation won’t be longer than 30 minutes .good luck
